Upon joining Stack Five as a contractor, one of my first tasks was helping in the development of the company website. Having operated on previous industry connections and word of mouth, we thought it important to also establish our digital image to reach a broader audience.

Approach

There were two main components that needed to shine through the site: 1) Our team's experience and 2) our team's knowledge.

Displaying experience is an essential component in building trust and, as the blueprint dictates, two simple and effective methods to achieve the desired results are brand banners and testimonials.

While the method is simple, new agencies have a difficult time on this front because they may not have the professional connections to display. Stack Five had quite an impressive reach in the industry so that was an advantage we definitely needed to highlight.

To tackle displaying knowledge, we opted to add a blog section to the site. The idea here was that we could write articles on industry news (to show that we are in tune with the technology around us) while also giving us the space to write small tutorials to problems we've solved and reviews/case studies on previous work done by us. This choice brought along with it more eyes to the site, since it expanded the content available on our platform, and with the addition of a properly implemented SEO across our site, the results were clearly taking effect.

Results

As per our analytics, the outcome of our digital presence was as follows:

Google Analytics reported 17,000 users, ~100,000 page views over the past year

and these are just the numbers, when it comes to tangible results of our SEO work, you can even spot some of our articles among the first Google Search results. A more than satisfactory result for what we attempted to achieve.
